Intel plays big brother at IDF
Intel Developer Forum (IDF) attendees here in San Francisco will find a nasty surprise pasted to the back of their name badges: a RFID tag. Walking into the keynote hall, you notice this line of scanners hanging over your head, quietly registering your every move.
It's the logical next step in tracking and tracing. Conference organisers are known to scan name badges and track who's attending certain sessions. But at least you can tell those people to get lost – there is no escaping the big brother RFID system.
