Intel's concept laptop designs
Intel likes toying around with PC and laptop designs to push the imagination and creativity with computer makers. That's why the chipmaker periodically creates concept designs that it will never produce.
The latest two designs were first unveiled at Intel Developer Forum last spring and were on display this week at Research at Intel Day. Watch the video below.

These are two wonderful designs! I hope for Apple's next generation MacBook Pro they will incorporate the design feature of the raising screen. That's a brilliant idea!

The designs look spiffy, but the intel guy doesn't know how to present them =) Not very talkative!

Please, please Apple, don't listen to these people! All those flexible hinges are a maintenance disaster in the making. Hinges equate with trouble, mechanical and electrical. Look how flimsy they are. No matter what you do, they're break and fall apart.
Leave this foolish design to the Windows world where people are dumb enough to buy laptops that die just out of warrantry.

Flipping screens, moving screen... blah. When do they come up with a screen-only with a virtual keyboard. Just the screen...

The first one is a long-awaited missing feature what is my old whislist. Since I'm a notebook-only user I always missed the adjustable (to make it closer) lcd - this solution is simple & does the job well. I hope this idea will go to production. Before I invest to a HMD unit.
