Christian hackers hit the web

Despite dire warnings of internet terrorism we've seen remarkably little political hacking, and nothing from the Christian church until recently.

There have been a few viruses that carried political and occasionally religious messages but this is the first case the Sleuth can remember where the Christians have got involved. Whatever happened to turning the other cheek?

On one level I can understand the growing fear of atheism that appears over the internet among the religious. Some atheists, Richard Dawkins in particular, are remarkably stupid with their cleverness.

While one cannot conclusively prove the existence or non-existence of a god there is nothing to be gained in the debate by insulting someone's beliefs. As the 17th century philosopher Baruch Spinoza said "I have striven not to laugh at human actions, not to weep at them, nor to hate them, but to understand them."

But the decision of some Christians to hack a MySpace page, bomb an abortion clinic, or beat someone to death like Matthew Shepherd shows a profound insecurity of faith. Surely if you are confident that a god will recognise truth then that is enough. Bullying is no answer.

I really wish they would exercise the sensibilities of those of the Islamic faith and plow airplanes into tall buildings instead... less controversial...

I don't see proof that a "Christian" has done what is report. Just saying something doesn't make a person a Christian anymore than saying I love Budha making that person a Buddhist. Let's show some proof.

YA stupid post from you. Richard Dawkins is stupid? Have you even heard him talking? I wonder who the stupid is here.

a true follower of the bible would love their enemies in such a way that the enemy could not take it any longer and repent.
the true follower would do good works until the enemy feeling the fire of love consuming him begs the follower to stop.

Jesus teaches to Love everyone into the kingdom. Not Threaten, bully, Harm, ect, we are to be firm in our faith and respectfully disagree. People see us by our actions not by our words(walk the walk not talk the talk).
In those instances that Jesus was disrespectful it was with those that were in
the religious authority positions(Teacher of the Law and religious leaders). He showed compassion to the woman at the well, tax collectors, the average people. That is the model Jesus gave us to follow not bombing ,burning and killing.

Center Parcs' third village was opened in July 1994 in the Longleat Forest Estate, near Warminster in Wiltshire.

The village is located within a valley, which means it has a steeper terrain than other Center Parcs sites. A

notable feature of the village is the towering redwood trees which are common in this area of forest. Center Parcs

is located off the A632 and A36, immediately adjacent to Longleat Safari Park, which is clearly visible from many

locations.

The Samadhi of Ranjit Singh is the mausoleum of the Sikh ruler Maharaja Ranjit Singh. Located in Lahore, Pakistan,

near the Lahore Fort and Badshahi Mosque, the mausoleum was begun by his son Kharak Singh on the spot where he was

cremated, and was completed by Dalip Singh in 1848. The tomb is a splendid example of Sikh architecture, with

gilded fluted domes and cupolas and an ornate balustrade round the top. Ranjit Singh's ashes are contained in a

marble urn in the shape of a lotus, sheltered under a marble pavilion inlaid with pietra dura, in the centre of

the tomb. Other tiny urns contain the ashes of his four wives and seven concubines who threw themselves on his

funeral pyre. These urns were removed from the marble pavilion and were replaced by a simple slab around 1999.

This desecration of the mausoleum was part of the preparations for the Khalsa Tricentenary and the visit of Sikh

dignitaries from India. The Samadhi was damaged by the earthquake in October 2005.
